Villa will travel to recently relegated Reading on Saturday August 2 (ko 3pm) as preparations for the 2008-09 Barclays Premier League season start to take shape.

Martin O'Neill's men return to competitive action in the Intertoto Cup on the weekend of July 19/20 and club officials are currently drawing-up a pre-season programme of games.

As we confirmed earlier today, Villa will travel to Lincoln City on July 15.

Villa were 2-1 winners on their last trip to the Madejski Stadium back in February when Ashley Young and Marlon Harewood were on the mark.
