Zat KnightZat Knight hopes Newcastle can do Villa a massive favour on Sunday but is refusing to look any further than the last day trip to West Ham.

To secure UEFA Cup football Villa must collect three points at Upton Park and hope rivals Everton lose at home to Kevin Keegan's men.

The travelling Claret and Blue Army will be anxiously tuning into events at Goodison Park but Knight knows his team mates must focus on the job in hand.

The former Fulham defender said: "We just have to stay focussed on our game though and we know it won't be easy. West Ham will want to end the season on a high after losing at Man United last week. They'll want to sign off with a win in front of their home fans.

"We'll keep an eye on scores elsewhere, but first of all we have to make sure we do our job. We've been aiming for Europe all season and now we're so close but we have to finish the job."

He continued: "We've put a lot of pressure on ourselves because we underachieved against Wigan. By losing last weekend we've left ourselves with it all to do at West Ham and it's out of our hands.

"Luckily Everton lost as well and they have another tough game at home to Newcastle, so we still have a chance."
